Hello! My name is Patrick and I currently reside in Boulder, CO. BOULDER ESSENCE was created largely in part due to the lack of personal fragrance options that are all-natural, vegan, and cruelty-free. I was in search of a new cologne when this reality became clear. During this research, I quickly realized that most personal fragrances (cologne, perfume, etc.) are tested on animals to confirm that they are safe for human use. Upon realizing that animals were being harmed due to these optional testing practices, I decided to chart my own course in personal fragrance. I come from the mindset that personal fragrance is a luxury good rather than an essential good. So I sought out to provide a solution to reduce the amount of animals' lives harmed. Thus, BOULDER ESSENCE was born.

After resigning from my previous environmental auditing and consulting role, I embarked on a journey to provide what it is that I seek. BOULDER ESSENCE Perfumes are made with only natural, plant-based oils (essential oils). Since the largest organ of the human body is skin, it seems only fitting to reduce the synthetic additives being absorbed by the skin. Not only can those synthetic additives be harmful for your skin, they are often overpowering to those around the user. Due to the signature scent blends crafted at BOULDER ESSENCE Perfumes through the use of only natural, plant-based oils, the problem of overpowering scent is resolved. 

During the process of handcrafting these scents, I decided to make personal fragrance that are fitting for everyone regardless of one's gender. Here at BOULDER ESSENCE, we bring it back to the basics. We have the goal of bringing gender-neutral, all-natural, vegan, and cruelty-free personal fragrance options mainstream.
