Hi! My name is Patrick. 

I started BOULDER ESSENCE in 2025 because of there being only a few good-smelling options in the market for truly all-natural colognes and perfumes. Countless brands include synthetic additives, such as preservatives, in their cologne/perfume contrary to even those advertising their products as "all-natural". Traditional (synthetic) cologne and perfume often test on animals and contain toxic chemicals. Those toxic chemicals can produce a beautiful scent, but may cause skin irritation, respiratory issues, hormone disruption, and reproductive issues.

I have done meticulous research to determine the suppliers of the essential oils extracted from various kinds of plants, flowers, and wood to confirm that the purity of these oils are of the highest quality and sustainably sourced.

After working at an all-natural, organic skincare family business, I became astonished by the profit-centric business model that drove sales, even in the market of natural medicine. Part of their approach was to limit transparency through providing opaque knowledge to customers regarding their products and ingredients. Their goal was oriented on expanding business revenue, even if that meant leaving the customers in the dark. Through offering overpriced products, it became clear that most customers trusted the products based on the price. Although being able to read all of the ingredients is a step in the right direction, the ingredients play an integral role in how effective a product is.

BOULDER ESSENCE has a no bullsh*t approach to how we craft our products by keeping it sophisticatedly simple. That is why our ingredients consist only of essential oils (aromas) and organic jojoba oil (carrier oil). We value accessibility, honesty, and transparency so we have kept the costs lower than comparable competitors. This reduces our profit-margins so YOU can make your money go further, especially during these times of exorbitant economic inflation.

Essential oils are sensitive to light so BOULDER ESSENCE Perfume Oils are encased in an amber roller bottle to reduce the oxidation and degradation of the quality. Each roller bottle is packaged in 100% recycled kraft paper which is reused from packaging padding. This is paired harmoniously together with a burlap baggie that can be used to store your BOULDER ESSENCE Perfume Oil and other small practical objects (lip balm, eye drops, cash, coins, etc). 

BOULDER ESSENCE Perfume Oils are handcrafted in small batches within beautiful Boulder, Colorado.

I am also a Graduate Student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling conducting research on the effectiveness of scent association being implemented across various therapeutic modalities.
